Message displayed on the remote control: IGNITION FAILED or IGNITION FAILED CLEAN BURNER
SIC12 is the shutdown for failed ignition.
The parameters that regulate SIC12 (system menu > Factory Settings) are:
01 TIME OUT: maximum ignition time
13 MINIMUM THRESHOLD: minimum flue gas temperature to be reached
If, at the end of the time set with parameter 01, the flue gas temperature has not reached the minimum value defined by parameter 13, the stove will go into SIC12.
It is important to check when SIC12 appears, that is, whether it occurs before or after the flame develops.
If the flame does not develop, the possible causes are:
- Incorrectly positioned or faulty igniter (most common cause)
Check the wiring, the position of the igniter, and through System Menu / OUTPUT TEST, verify that the igniter works correctly.
Replace the igniter if malfunctioning.- Auger jammed and/or auger motor faulty
Before turning on the stove, activate the “Loading” function in the user menu or via output test in the system menu to check the proper operation of the auger and motor.

If the flame develops, the possible causes are:
- Incorrect combustion calibration (most common cause)
Check whether the combustion requires a greater or lesser amount of pellet and/or air. Through the Calibration menu, you can adjust the combustion by modifying the values in Pellet Type (fuel adjustment) and Chimney Type (air adjustment, only with FCS disabled).
In the system menu, under various calibrations, through parameter 03 PRE-LOAD IGN, it is possible to increase or decrease the initial pellet pre-load time.- Faulty flue gas thermocouple
After checking the wiring, check if the flue gas thermocouple located in the cast iron spiral at the flue gas outlet is dirty or incorrectly positioned by reading the flue gas temperature in the “Displays” menu. Replace the flue gas thermocouple if malfunctioning.- Other causes
