The pressure switch must be connected to the silicone tube via the P1 connection, which is the external one.
The electrical connection must be made on contacts 1 and 2, also indicated in the technical manual, corresponding to the terminals arranged in parallel (see figure in the technical manual).
The pressure switch mainly consists of two parts: a membrane and a microswitch.
The membrane is positioned inside a casing where the only two parts in contact with the outside are the two tube connections, one for pressure operation (P1), the other for vacuum operation (P2).
When the contact opens, the control unit stops the auger operation; if the contact does not close again within a preset time, the system enters a SIC02 error.
In the absence of draft in the flue, or in the presence of reverse draft, the differential pressure switch may open the safety contact, causing the generator to stop and signaling the error SIC02 – LACK OF VACUUM.
In case of repeated SIC02 errors, after verifying the correct functionality of the pressure switch with a tester and measuring instruments, it is essential to check the draft of the flue.
We remind you that MORETTI DESIGN products operate under pressure.
This check should in any case be performed during the first ignition.
It is recommended to always have the technical manual on hand during installation or maintenance operations; alternatively, the document is available for download in the reserved area of the website.
