The error ER12 is the shutdown due to failed ignition.
The parameters that regulate ER12 are:
T04 and T05: fixed and variable ignition times (System Menu -> Times)
If, at the expiration of the times set with parameters T04 and T05, the flue gas temperature has not reached the minimum value of 55° (Value not modifiable), the stove will go into ER12.
It is important to check when ER12 appears, that is, whether it occurs before or after the flame develops.
If the flame does not develop, the possible causes are:
- Mispositioned or faulty igniter (most common cause)
Check the wiring, the position of the igniter and, through System Menu / OUTPUT TEST, verify that the igniter works correctly.
Replace the igniter in case of malfunction.- Auger jammed and/or auger motor faulty
Before turning on the stove, activate the “Loading” function in the user menu "Service" or via output test in the system menu, to verify the correct operation of the auger and motor.
Replace the motor in case of malfunction.- Other causes
Related to fuel and installation.
If the flame develops, the possible causes are:
- Incorrect combustion tuning (most common cause)
Check if the combustion requires a greater or lesser amount of pellet and/or air. Through the user menu "Service", it is possible to adjust the combustion by modifying the values in Auger Tuning (fuel adjustment) and Fan Tuning (air adjustment, only with FCS deactivated).
In the system menu, under times, via parameter T03, it is possible to increase or decrease the initial pellet preloading time.- Faulty flue thermocouple
After checking the wiring, check if the flue thermocouple located in the cast iron auger housing at the flue outlet is dirty or improperly positioned, by reading the flue temperature in the user menu “Information”. Replace the flue thermocouple in case of malfunction.
- Other causes
Related to fuel and installation.
