ER08

The error ER08 is the shutdown due to lack of encoder signal.

The possible causes are due to a breakage or malfunction of 3 components (flue fan including encoder, encoder cable, control unit):

- Flue fan speed too high

The error occurs when the control unit does not read the correct speed of the rotations sent to the flue fan, this can happen in the presence of:
• Power surges
• The flue fan does not support, therefore does not reach, the speed set by the control unit.
• The encoder of the control unit cannot regulate the fan speed.
• The presence of dirt inside the scroll that slows down the impeller.

- Faulty control unit
 

Deactivate the FCS and set power to 5. Clear the error and turn the stove back on, read the flue fan speed in the “Displays” menu. If the speeds are unstable, it is likely that the flue fan or control unit is faulty.
Replace in case of malfunction.
