Message displayed on the remote control: SMOKE TEMP or SMOKE TEMP TOO HIGH
SIC05 is the shutdown due to high smoke temperature (above 300 degrees).
Possible causes are:
- Dirty stove
Clear the error and turn the stove back on; if the error reoccurs, the stove probably requires a general extraordinary cleaning/maintenance intervention. Check that all parts of the stove are properly cleaned, paying particular attention to the head.
- Excessive draft
Check the draft of the chimney and check the speed of the smoke fan in the “Displays” menu. If the rotations are too high, a large part of the heat is lost in the chimney, thus reducing the stove's efficiency and triggering the error. Lower the value of the “Chimney Type” in the “Settings” section (MODELS WITHOUT FCS) or reduce the draft of the chimney if necessary.
- Faulty smoke thermocouple
If the smoke temperature detected is high even during the shutdown phase and the firebox is warm, it is likely that the smoke thermocouple is faulty. Replace the smoke thermocouple in case of malfunction.
