SIC07

Message displayed on the remote control: NO ENCODER or NO ENCODER SMOKE EXTRACTOR

SIC07 is the shutdown due to lack of encoder signal

The possible causes are due to a breakage or malfunction of 3 components (smoke fan including encoder, encoder cable, control unit):

- Smoke fan blocked

Check the smoke fan RPM in the “Displays” menu, if it shows 0 check the smoke fan via System Menu / Output Test”. 
Also check the continuity of the encoder cable.
Please note that the encoder is not a replaceable component: in case of failure, it is necessary to replace the entire smoke fan.

- Faulty control unit
 

If the fan and the encoder cable have been replaced and the SIC07 persists, also replace the control unit. 
Clear the error and turn the stove back on, check the RPM in the “Displays” menu, if it shows 0 it is likely that the control unit is faulty and needs to be replaced.
